## New page and new stuff

Posted on 30th November 2011 in Research

We are starting off a downloads page where we are going to be posting various material that you can freely download. To kick-off things you will find a nice excel template that implements standard (not ours!) moving average cross-overs but has additional material, like Fibo retracements, RSI and strategy evaluation. Just upload your data in the data template and refresh all formulas and you are set to go. Please note that the first trade signals have to be inputed manually in the “indicators” worksheet. This is older material and it may have errors, so scan it first to check.

## New guidelines to be posted in the next few days

Posted on 30th November 2011 in Research

Dear All,

First of all,  thank you very much for your feedback and all your e-mails. We have noticed that there is a lot of our readers who find the methodology of our Improved MA a bit confusing regarding the exit and the entry signals.

When do you use the standard MA?

What happens if

$P_{Entry}

and the immediate next period

$P_{Entry}>P_{Current}$

What happens to the Improved MA once OUT?

The above are just some of the question we have received over the past few days.

In the “MA Example” we will re-write and post (probably during the end of the week) some new step-by-step guidelines covering all IN and OUT cases.

## Pair Trading is a matter of weeks…

Posted on 28th November 2011 in Research

Dear All,

We are currently thinking of creating another page (or maybe a couple of them) with pairs-trading picks & suggestions on ETFs.

Hopefully this will be on air in the next couple of weeks (as we are waiting for the Xmas break from teaching!).

Cheers,

Fotis

## Real-time Evaluation of our Moving Average Modifications!

Posted on 26th November 2011 in Research

Dear All,

A new page was added with title “Real-Time iMA“. In there we focus on the SP500 and for the next months we will compare the performance of the usual SMA(20) and our suggested modification. We will try to update this section every week.

Thanks,

fotis
